Tea In Hands

FERTILITY  •  PRECONCEPTION  •  IVF & IUI SUPPORT

Care for the whole of you, while you try to conceive.

Trying to conceive can be one of the most demanding chapters of your life, and one of the most invisible.  I offer steady, unhurried acupuncture care along side your GP or fertility specialist, with room for everything you’re carrying.

IS THIS YOU?

Wherever you are in the process, you’re welcome here.

Preparing to try

You want to look after your body and your stress before you start

Trying naturally

It's taking longer than you hoped, and the monthly wait is wearing you down.

In IVF or IUI

You’d like support alongside your clinic, through the medications, the waiting room and the results.

After a loss

You're grieving, and not sure what comes next. There's no rush here.

HOW I WORK WITH YOU

More than a protocol

A full picture first

Your cycle, history, sleep, stress and what you’ve already been through. We look at how it all connects, not one data point at a time.

Care that fits your cycle

Appointments planned around your natural cycle or treatment calendar, with flexible rebooking when IVF dates move.

Room for the emotional load.

Hope, grief, fear, frustration. Through acupuncture and NET the stress of the journey itself gets attention too.

More than a protocol

I won’t promise you a pregnancy. Nobody honestly can.

Research into acupuncture and fertility outcomes, including during IVF, is mixed, and I’ll always be straight with you about that.  What I can promise is time, attention, a clear plan, and care that sits respectfully alongside your medical team.

If something in our session suggests you need medical investigation, I’ll tell you and encourage you to see your GP or specialist.

ALONGSIDE YOUR SPECIALIST

We support, we don’t replace

Keep following your fertility clinic’s advice and medication plan. Bring your treatment calendar to your first visit, and with your consent I’m happy to keep your GP or specialist informed.

Please tell your fertility clinic you’re having acupuncture too.

Please email prior to your first visit:

  • Your treatment calendar or cycle trakcing, if you have it

  • A list of current medications and supplements

  • Any recent test results

  • Questions, worries, or nothing at all.

COMMON QUESTIONS

What women often ask me

How often would I come in?

It depends on where you are and what you’re hoping for. After your first visit, you’ll receive a written treatment plan with a suggested frequency and a point where we’ll review your progress together. For most people, that means weekly treatments for at least three to six months. Lasting change takes time, and I’ll always be honest with you about what to expect.

Can I have acupuncture while I’m going through ART (IVF, IUI or egg freezing)?

Yes. Many women have acupuncture while they’re preparing for or going through IVF, IUI or egg freezing. I’ll plan your sessions around your cycle, including key points like stimulation, egg collection and embryo transfer, and I’m flexible when your clinic’s timing changes at short notice. Just as importantly, our sessions give you space to breathe and be supported through what can be a physically and emotionally demanding process.

Do you work with my fertility clinic?

Yes. I work alongside your fertility specialist, GP and obstetric team, and other health professionals, not in competition with them. With your permission, I’m happy to share your treatment plan or keep in touch with your care team so everyone is on the same page. â€‹

Do you support LGBTQIA+ families?

Absolutely. Every family is welcome here, including same-sex couples, solo parents by choice, and trans and gender-diverse people. Whatever your path to parenthood looks like, you’ll be met with respect, care and no assumptions. If there’s anything that would help you feel more comfortable, such as your pronouns or how you’d like me to refer to your partner, just let me know.

Can I claim a rebate?

You can claim on the spot with HICAPS at the clinic, if your private health insurance includes acupuncture in your extras cover. I recommend checking with your insurer before your first visit.
